My Kindle!!!!!!!!
We left our home in Chinley in December, just after Christmas when I got my best Christmas present ever; it was a beautiful kindle with a cover designed to look like a paint pot. It has a back light, so I can read at night and in a very dark tent when we are camping.

I REALLY LOVE TO READ, I like all sorts of books so my awesome kindle was a brilliant choice for daddy to make, although he still insists it was Santa! Plus, this neat little device that hardly weighs a thing saves me from having to cart 2 more heavy suitcases full of different books around the world for 9 whole months!
I have read about 96 books since I have been away from home!
I started with The Railway Children back in January 2018, in Sri Lanka. 6 months later we are now in Mexico.
I have not always been a fan of Enid Blyton but recently I have read lots of her fabulous books. I like reading them because I really like adventure stories, I have nearly read all of the adventure books that she has wrote. I love how the stories are based on children solving crimes. I like how the children always fall into caverns and ancient ruins, they somehow get out of their problems by either their brains or their strength, I especially like the books that have boats in them and secret islands and nearly getting caught by policemen, and having to sell strawberry’s and mushrooms to buy food and supply stores to stock up for when the winter came.
I also like the series called Mallory Towers, it is about a boarding school where this girl called Darrell is sent for her education, where lots of doings happen, like; theft and new girls being put in their place. I have always loved The Naughtiest Girl In The School books because I like all the happenings in the story like when she makes a special friend, and how she is not the naughtiest girl in the school in the end, but she is probably the nicest girl in the school by the end of the book.
Maybe I’ve got into these series because we are on our own ‘Edventure’; we have also been to islands, we’ve hiked in caves and swam in caverns, we have explored all sorts of places like Chichen Izta (a big ancient ruin built by the Mayans thousands of years ago) we have been on lots of boat trips as well. It has made me realise that when I get back I want to try attending a sailing club again.
I recommend Enid Blyton’s books to people who love adventure stories and mystery ones too, I think that my kindle was a brilliant present for me I am really amazed that daddy can go into the online library in Chapel en le Frith or Manchester whilst we are traveling around the world, and download any books that I would like to have on my kindle! I feel very lucky to have a device that carries my books digitally.
Some of my most favourite other authors are:
Terry Prachett,
Jeff Kinney,
Jacqueline Wilson,
David Walliams,
David Baddiel,
and Enid Blyton!

Wow!!! 96 book….you little book worm you!
To enjoy a book/story is a delight. You’ve discovered one of life’s pleasure that will be with you for ever. You need to set-up a book club when you come back to Chinners xxx
I was a big Enid Blyton fan too – have you also read the St Clare’s series? If you liked Mallory Towers then you’ll like those too. But I think my favourites are still the Faraway Tree/Wishing Chair series. I’m just starting to introduce Martha to them.
Well done on reading so many books while you’ve been away – it’s a wonderful pastime and really helps you to expand your vocabulary.
