Kangaroo Island
Two days ago we were on kangaroo island and we stayed in the best house on our trip, mainly because it had a pool table in the living room. It was called LaViv, by the beach.
The first day we went to seal bay and we saw seals right on the beach. It was good because you got to learn all about sealions. I learned that for every 100 sea lions born about 70 of them dies by the age of 4, so only 30% of them get to live. Sharks might eat them or their mum and if they are too young they will starve. In the afternoon we went to Stokes beach where we walked through a tunnel in the rocks and me and Henna played torpedo in the water jumping into the waves and it zooms you to the beach. On the sand we made a massive massive sand castle that I could stand on without it breaking up and my dad buried me. In the sand of course!
The next day we went to Flinders Chase National Park. We saw the Remarkable Rocks and we stood in a volcano because it was part of a volcano that used to be under the sea. The rocks growed up from the sea and over years broke up and made these brilliant rocks. I climbed on them, I crawled underneath one of them and I scrambled. It was a massive rock and it was easy for me to crawl underneath because I’m small. We walked to the lighthouse and saw some different sea lions on the rocks at Admirals lookout. They were different to the ones that we saw on the beach because they were really good on the rocks, they could climb right up the rocks and the other ones couldn’t. These were fur seals. and the special thing that mummy did when we went to see those seals was she climbed down to rescue someone’s sunglasses. It was a good thing that she did because the seals might die if they eat sunglasses. We also went on a walk to see koalas in trees but instead of on the walk we didn’t see any but in the car park there was lots of koalas high up in the trees. and where did we end up seeing our best koalas on the whole trip? It was on the side of the road and they were hugging and they were sitting on the thinnest branch in the world holding on to the thick branch it was a mummy and baby and we were really close to them and the baby looked at me and waved.
On the last day we went sand boarding which was fun going down because the sand dunes were massive massive massive massive. But it wasn’t fun going back up because you had to walk back up the massive hill with a really really heavy board to carry. The place was called Little Sahara. You could go down by yourself or with a grown-up or with your sister or brother. It was like sledging but on sand 🏄🏻♀️.
