Shells, Shells, and more Shells!

Shells, Shells, and more Shells!

Blindingly Beautiful!

Especially for Paula B this……. the tinsiest, tiniest shells found on Shell Beach, Shark Bay area, WA. One of only 2 pure shell beaches in the world, made up solely of eye glaringly, rolling mounds of tiny cockleshells. Amongst them can be found the odd colourful gem. Paula always requests pebbles or shells, so these are specially for you PB, hopefully they’ll survive the next 6-7 months!

Now these are good – but nothing compared  to the presents the kids crafted for Clare and Ronnie for welcoming us and feeding us the ‘best lunch in WA!’ as officially voted for by Arlo and Henna. We’d hoped to create something from our visit to Shell beach but everything was so tiny – Having thought we were running out of time and options, we arrived in Jurien Bay to find the beach littered with perfectly holed shells, ripe for bracelets and hangings. Driftwood, string, a huge holed pebble from Coral Bay and porcupine spikes from Sri Lanka and hey presto, we have our gifts!

Hi all, I’ve just read this – the gifts are beautiful! Already the holey pebble art is adorning our bathroom along with Katy’s treasures. And I will be wearing my beautiful bracelet to our citizenship ceremony on Monday. Thank you so much! PS I made humus and pita chips again yesterday for the first time since our famous lunch!
