From Perth to Coral Bay

From Perth to Coral Bay

WA- From Perth!

It was 1 am when we finally arrived in Western Australia. I got pushed on an airport trolley along with all the bags, into the car pick up and drop of, we were there to pick up a car – not literally though! We eventually found our apartment in Fremantle – a lovely town with lots of fab things to do – and then we collapsed onto our beds because we were soooo tired.

The next day I got woken up at what felt like 6am but it was only 10 in the morning! I felt so tired and I moaned about how we had to go to the beach when it was windy, after mummy and daddy finally gave in we changed into our Manchester United kits and joined in on an opening of a new basketball court. At first we just got to play with the basketball and we all had a go at shooting, then there was the real fun, the people who had organised this whole thing picked 2 kids – not us – to open the basketball course by trying to get the ball into the net, eventually a boy got it in the net and the basketball course was officially open to all. Afterwards me and a Arlo played pirate crew on the playground, the climbing frame was awesome, because if you swung around the top pole and slide down you would be able to climb over the yellow and then we went home for tea . I like Fremantle, tomorrow we are visiting Clare and Ronnie – Katy Wright’s aunty and uncle !

After we visited Clare and Ronnie – which involved a tremendous dinner: Homemade hummus that had to be eaten – I didn’t object, and the teaching of how to do a Tim Tam Slam also followed by how to get to :

The Western Australia Botanic Gardens !

My favourite thing in the Botanic Gardens were the fountains, because, if you got to the fountain at the right time you would see a rainbow, because the Sun would shine  on the ground and then the water from the fountains would sprinkle on the grass and form a rainbow!

The tremendously long bike ride to Point Walter was one of my top never to do again list ! Because, the bikes were really uncomfortable especially for mummy and daddy-well there was one good point about it, the good point was, the jetty! I jumped off it loads and it was super fun, I pushed a guy called Patrick off the jetty and he got his own back on me! We had a massive ice cream, but the ride back was even worse!

Okay, now for a bullet point list to get us through this blog quickly:

  • Dongora – two nights free camping on the beach.
  • Kalbarri – feeding pelicans, awful pedalo ride, Mushroom Walk, Red Bluff, Eagle Bluff, golf course (kangaroo hunt-not literally) Chinamans Beach, Blueholes  snorkeling, mummy’s birthday hike to go skinny dipping in the river gorge.
  • Shark Bay – Ocean Marine Park we saw eels, sea snakes, stone fish, puffa fish, lion fish, clown fish with their anemones,a logger head turtle and of course SHARKS! Monkey Mia, fed dolphins, jump of jetty but Arlo cut his foot on a barnacle. There was a brilliant play ground that was literally right outside our cabin – definitely  the best one that we have found up to now
  • Carnarvon – met Joseph and Max a local boy and his puppy dog who was out on his third walk ever, Space Museum was really good because it felt like you were really on the control buttons or in a capsule at the top of the rocket, we went in a helicopter and flew over the 1 mile jetty that was closed due to the end of it breaking, we flew over banana, grape and mango plantations i loved being in the helicopter it felt relaxing. It was really awesome to have our own private pool in our back yard!
  • Coral Bay – We went on a snorkling tour with Joel with a sea scooter, I made a haiku of what we saw and how I felt :

Coral, the entertainment, the experience

Brilliant fun, amazing time I loved it!

The sea amazing and awesome!

We also borrowed a kayak and a paddle board, on the kayak we had heaps of fun, mummy jumped in the water and the got pulled along by daddy, because the kayak that we used was a four seater the way it worked was, there was a normal kayak that had 2 mini kayaks attached to the side of it that were connected to the main kayak by 4 poles also me and Arlo hanged out on 2 mini trampolines whilst mummy and daddy peddled for their lives whilst I steered  and told them to go faster.

Me and mummy used a paddle board to play about on because it was way to windy to do real paddle boarding – not that we new how to –  then Arlo and daddy came and we filmed everyone trying to stand up on the paddle board.
